MY REVIEW
I feel I should say before I get into my review that this is not my normal genre of book. . So I started reading this book feeling a little pensive of whether I would like the book, never mind enjoy it! I was given the ecopy of this book by the lovely author Lisa April Smith, so I kind of feel guilty for not liking it more than I did.
The plot was fairly easy to follow, it has mystery, and romance. The book is set both in the 30's and also in the 60's too. As you know with my reviews I do not like to give away spoilers no matter how difficult it makes doing a review! The flowed quite well.
The characters are well written and descriptions of people and places in the book are also good, but as I swear by my policy to also be totally truthful I have to say this was just not my type of book. I hope this does not offend the lovely author Lisa April Smith as there is nothing particularly bad or negative about the book its just not my cup of tea, sorry. Having said all that, please do not let my review put you off giving this book a go. As I always say it wouldn't be realistic for us all to like the same thing. I prefer YA aimed or paranormal type books so this one was totally out of my reading comfort zone.
I want to make it perfectly clear there is nothing wrong with this book, just not one of my favourite genres. As they say "it would be a boring world if we all liked the same"
So did I enjoy this book? It was okay, yes. Would I read more like this? Probably not Would I recommend this book? To the people that like this type of genre Yes!
