SEPTEMBER 2014 NEW RELEASES!

Below are Septembers New Releases that I am looking forward to reading (If I have them) or adding to my wishlist if I don't have them! I have actually managed to read a few of this month's releases in arc form, so can personally recommend some of the titles below.
I also can't believe that the "C" word has been mentioned so early! The "C" word being "Christmas" I know when I worked in retail we used to prepare for Christmas the minute the children were back in school in September! So I will also be trying to plan ahead and choose some titles released in December that I am interested in reading too. (Though that will be in a another post).

Title : Day 21
Series: The Hundred
Author: Kass Morgan
Publisher: Little Brown Books
Release Date: 16th September 2014

BLURB from Goodreads
No one has set foot on Earth in centuries -- until now.
It's been 21 days since the hundred landed on Earth. They're the only humans to set foot on the planet in centuries...or so they thought. Facing an unknown enemy, Wells attempts to keep the group together. Clarke strikes out for Mount Weather, in search of other Colonists, while Bellamy is determined to rescue his sister, no matter the cost. And back on the ship, Glass faces an unthinkable choice between the love of her life and life itself.
In this pulse-pounding sequel to Kass Morgan's The 100, secrets are revealed, beliefs are challenged, and relationships are tested. And the hundred will struggle to survive the only way they can -- together.

[Have any of you been watching the TV Series? I enjoy the series but admit to sometimes wanting to shake the actors sometimes. It's difficult when the book is a TV show too. I think I'll probably wait a while and then try the book. Though I've been told by a fellow blogger Kayleigh from K-Books that the book is really good]

BLURB from Goodreads
The Breakfast Club meets Pretty Little Liars in Gretchen McNeil’s witty and suspenseful novel about four disparate girls who join forces to take revenge on high school bullies and create dangerous enemies for themselves in the process.

Bree, Olivia, Kitty, and Margot have nothing in common—at least that’s what they’d like the students and administrators of their elite private school to think. The girls have different goals, different friends, and different lives, but they share one very big secret: They’re all members of Don’t Get Mad, a secret society that anonymously takes revenge on the school’s bullies, mean girls, and tyrannical teachers.

When their latest target ends up dead with a blood-soaked “DGM” card in his hands, the girls realize that they’re not as anonymous as they thought—and that someone now wants revenge on them. Soon the clues are piling up, the police are closing in . . . and everyone has something to lose.

Title: In A Handful Of Dust
Series: Not A Drop To Drink
Author: Mindy McGinnis
Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books
Release Date: 23rd September 2014

BLURB from Goodreads
The only thing bigger than the world is fear.

Lucy’s life by the pond has always been full. She has water and friends, laughter and the love of her adoptive mother, Lynn, who has made sure that Lucy’s childhood was very different from her own. Yet it seems Lucy’s future is settled already—a house, a man, children, and a water source—and anything beyond their life by the pond is beyond reach.

When disease burns through their community, the once life-saving water of the pond might be the source of what’s killing them now. Rumors of desalinization plants in California have lingered in Lynn’s mind, and the prospect of a “normal” life for Lucy sets the two of them on an epic journey west to face new dangers: hunger, mountains, deserts, betrayal, and the perils of a world so vast that Lucy fears she could be lost forever, only to disappear in a handful of dust.

In this companion to Not a Drop to Drink, Mindy McGinnis thrillingly combines the heart-swelling hope of a journey, the challenges of establishing your own place in the world, and the gripping physical danger of nature in a futuristic frontier.

[I've read this one, the review is scheduled to appear on my blog on release day! I totally loved this one, as I did the first in this brilliant series! I highly recommend this book/series!]

BLURB from Goodreads
Fifteen-year-old Piper Crenshaw knows her house is strange. It’s never needed repairs since it was built in the 1800s, and the lights flicker in response to things she says. As if those things aren’t creepy enough, it’s also the place where her mother committed murder.

To prove she’s not afraid of where she lives, Piper opens a forbidden door, which hides a staircase that leads to the ceiling. That’s when the flashbacks of the original residents from 1875 start, including a love affair between two young servants. Each vision pulls Piper deeper into not only their story, but also her house. Piper confides in her best friend, Todd, whom she's gradually falling for, but even he doesn't believe her. At least, not until her house gets axed during a prank, and the act injures Piper instead, cutting a gash the size of Texas into her stomach.

Piper realizes her house isn’t haunted—it’s alive. To sever her link to it, she must unravel the clues in the flashbacks and uncover the truth about her mother’s crime, before she becomes part of her house for good.

Title: Falling Into Place
Series: N/A
Author: Amy Zhang
Publisher: Greenwillow Books
Release Date: 9th September 2014

BLURB from Goodreads
On the day Liz Emerson tries to die, they had reviewed Newton’s laws of motion in physics class. Then, after school, she put them into practice by running her Mercedes off the road.

Why? Why did Liz Emerson decide that the world would be better off without her? Why did she give up? Vividly told by an unexpected and surprising narrator, this heartbreaking and nonlinear novel pieces together the short and devastating life of Meridian High’s most popular junior girl. Mass, acceleration, momentum, force—Liz didn’t understand it in physics, and even as her Mercedes hurtles toward the tree, she doesn’t understand it now. How do we impact one another? How do our actions reverberate? What does it mean to be a friend? To love someone? To be a daughter? Or a mother? Is life truly more than cause and effect?

Amy Zhang’s haunting and universal story will appeal to fans of Lauren Oliver, Gayle Forman, and Jay Asher.

That's the fourteen new releases of September I chose to feature. I've tried to cover a wider genre range in the hope I may have managed to include something for everyone. What titles are YOU looking forward to? Is there a title above you are wanting to read, or do you know one that I haven't included that you think I'd enjoy?
